Floral design inspiration: part 1

Throughout the years, we see many trends come and go in fashion, interior design and even hairstyling. Every trend starts somewhere, and as the years pass they come back around, whether still at their original style or with a twist. … Continue reading

Say it With Stationary

For many buzzing brides, your wedding isn’t just a day it’s a journey. This journey starts from the day you’re proposed too, all the way through from planning the date, the music, the theme, the dress and all and everything … Continue reading

The Big Day | 20th February 2014

I can’t believe after over 1 year of planning, dress shopping, decoration making, supplier hunting (searching for not killing…) and table plan changing etc that our big day has been and gone.

It was more magical than I could have hoped for. It really is true what they say – It goes SO quickly and you really do need to enjoy every single second. Even the morning, getting ready with my beautiful bridesmaids was the most amazing time and it just flew by. Before you knew it, it was time to walk down the aisle at 2pm that day.

We are yet to get our photo’s but our wonderful photographer (Kelly Weech Photography) gave us a lovely sneak preview;

Confetti Please…

Every bride needs confetti…

Whether flower petals or paper, confetti is one of the wedding ‘must have’ items. I’ve been attacking eBay for all of my confetti needs – this is a much cheaper way to do it (along with collecting your own petals and drying them).

My wedding theme is ‘Pastel Vintage’ so I found these gorgeous floral paper hearts for my confetti which so far I have used to add to my Jam Jars & I will sprinkle on tables at the venue.

There are so many options which could be completely tailored to your theme. Another gorgeous look is music sheet paper cut into hearts or you can find a copy of a favourite book / quotes and cut these into hearts to make it completely personal.

Plus – guests love throwing stuff at you!

Naturally Neutral

I’m a huge fan of soft, neutral, pastel shades – they all compliment each other perfectly. (I do love a good bold colour now and then – don’t get me wrong…but the pastel shades are always a friend and will never let you down)

With deciding on my nails and lip colour I have been in 2 minds – Bold and berry like or soft and neutral. It’s decision time…

The neutrals won!

I’m keeping my look soft & vintage, where as my beautiful bridesmaids will have an element of that ‘must have’ bold deep berry red lipstick. The contrast should look amazing!

Put Your Stamp On It

Making your wedding your own is not only important to all brides, it can be hard to come up with those little unique touches & ideas that no one else has thought of…
One way to keep it personal is to get creative and make your own additions to the day, whether you make the favours or design the invites – from the smallest input to the biggest idea, any form of personal creation can make it your unique addition to your big day.

Stamps are a great start – you can do invites, table plans, name tags, decorations, signs, games – you name it!
Stamp your way to your unique wedding and wow your guests!

Here’s some of my very own below;

I picked the ‘Pretty Pastel’ design for our wedding (images below) – it fits the ‘pastel vintage’ theme perfectly! Once I had selected my design, the service was brilliant & I had regular contact with ‘The Treehouse keeper’ (actual title) – they’re only a small team but they’re great and I highly recommend using them.
